Michael Jackson and Naomi Campbell are two of LaChapelle’s subjects, juxtaposed among items and themes of religion, mass consumption, and, in one of the most striking pieces of the same name, the rape of Africa. In an enlightening twist, sketches of the finished works are also displayed.
