Sure, Charlie Sheen probably thinks he's as important as the president, but how does he get the same police escort? D.C. police say the matter is under investigation after Sheen received an 80 mph escort from Dulles International Airport to his stage show, Violent Torpedo of Truth: Defeat Is not an Option, for which he was running almost an hour late. "Citizens of the District don't want to see their police force used to escort private citizens and that Charlie Sheen, of all people, is getting a personal escort," said D.C. Council member Phil Mendelson, chairman of the committee that oversees police. D.C. police spokeswoman Gwendolyn Crump said the escort was routine and that the government was reimbursed for the services, but asked how the incident met the definition of a "reimbursable detail," usually used for things like parades and festivals, Crump said the matter was "under investigation."
