Marvel superhero film Deadpool became a box office success with the best opening weekend ever for an R-rated movie. The Ryan Reynolds flick brought in in more than $135 million over the Valentine’s Day and Presidents Day weekend, crushing previous record-holder, The Matrix Reloaded, which raked in $91.7 million in 2003. Deadpool’s debut also became the seventh largest opening of all time for a comic book adaptation.
