Sri Lankan rescue workers uncovered more victims of massive mudslides on Sunday, bringing the death toll to 151, with another 111 reported missing. With more rain expected on Sunday and Monday, authorities said they don’t expect to find any more survivors of the devastating mudslides that hit the southern and western regions of the country over the weekend. The fallout of torrential rains has also left at least 100,000 people displaced. Health minister Dr. Rajitha Senarathna said 339 relief centers have been set up, with medical teams dispatched to tend to the wounded in affected areas. The United Nations has joined in relief efforts and promised to provide supplies for the displaced residents, while the United States and Pakistan have also vowed to send aid packages.
