Democratic party officials determined that Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz will no longer preside over the upcoming Democratic National Convention after leaked emails implicated the DNC in attempts to strategize about ways to harm Bernie Sanders in the primary. Representative Marcia Fudge, of Ohio, will now serve as the permanent chair of the convention, and will gavel each session to order, a job that was once set for Schultz.
