
Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher joined hundreds of celebrities, activists, and former victims of sex slavery at the 2009 Freedom Awards organized by Free the Slaves and the John Templeton Foundation on October 13 in Los Angeles. The couple presented former sex slave Sina Vann with an award. “The moment we were made aware of this issue, we realized we couldn’t live in a world where slavery existed,” Moore said.
