An 18-year-old king cobra at the Denver Zoo that was diagnosed with cancer last year is now in remission, following a chemotherapy treatment plan pioneered by veterinarians at the institution. Zookeepers put chemo pills inside dead rodents and then fed them to the highly venomous snake every three weeks to treat the lymphosarcoma. The king cobra’s bloodwork has now been stable since August.
