The Department of Justice is investigating a former Senate Intelligence Committee staffer over alleged unauthorized disclosures of information that might have been classified. CNN reports that prosecutors “appear to be preparing charges” against the ex-aide. The Senate passed a measure this week allowing for the committee to turn over documents relating to the investigation to the Department of Justice. The Senate measure stated that federal investigators were looking into “allegations of the unauthorized disclosure of information by a former employee of the Committee.”
