The 15-year-old girl whose deportation from France caused mass student protests—and put President Francois Hollande under fire from far left groups, as well as his own Socialist party—has been allowed to return to France, but without her family. Leonarda Dibrani was taken by police as she got off a school bus while on a trip with classmates and detained. Dibrani, however, says that she will not return to France without her family, who are Gypsies. A government report published on Saturday ruled that the police followed the law in deporting the Dibrani family back to Kosovo, but that the matter was handled insensitively.
