Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan and his wife could be in big trouble if they know the sex of their unborn child. Though the couple has not publicly confirmed that they’re expecting, local media has reported that they have a baby boy on the way via a surrogate. Prenatal sex tests are banned in India to prevent abortions of female fetuses motivated by a cultural preference for male heirs, and Indian officials are looking into reports about the actor’s alleged son. “We want to know the truth, and if it is true how [the gender] came out and who told it,” the Indian Radiological and Imaging Association said in its demand for an investigation. “Whoever is responsible must be punished.”
