Noontime Wednesday will be the end of an era, as the Discovery shuttle is scheduled to wrap up its final mission and land at NASA’s Florida spaceport. The shuttle’s 39th and final mission has it bringing astronauts back from the International Space Station. After decommission, the Discovery will head to the Smithsonian for display. Shuttles Endeavour and Atlantis will each fly one more mission before they are retired too.
