The Walt Disney Company reversed a recent decision to ban the Los Angeles Times from advance press screenings of its films, The New York Times reported Tuesday. The paper was initially banned after it published an investigation into Disney’s business ties with the city of Anaheim. The reversal comes amid growing backlash to the ban. Several other news outlets announced that they would boycott advance screenings of Disney films in solidarity with the paper. “We’ve had productive discussions with the newly installed leadership at The Los Angeles Times regarding our specific concerns, and as a result, we’ve agreed to restore access to advance screenings for their film critics,” Disney said in a statement.
