The Justice Department will no longer pursue its corruption case against Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ), and has filed a motion to dismiss the indictment. The move comes a week after Menendez and co-defendant Salomon Melgen were acquitted by a judge on seven of the 18 counts they were charged with in 2017, and two weeks after the department announced that it intended to retry them.
