Downing Street: Trump Was ‘Wrong’ to Retweet Far-Right Group Britain First

A spokesperson for British Prime Minister Theresa May on Wednesday said it was “wrong” that President Trump retweeted anti-Muslim videos from the far-right group Britain First. “Britain First seeks to divide communities through their use of hateful narratives which peddle lies and stoke tensions,” the spokesperson said. “British people overwhelmingly reject the prejudiced rhetoric of the far-right, which is the antithesis of the values that this country represents—decency, tolerance and respect.”
