What is a weekend (without a little Downton Abbey)? Delighting upstairs and downstairs fans alike, PBS announced the official air date for the British period drama's fourth season Tuesday. Speaking to the audience at PBS’s annual meeting in Miami Beach, executive producer Rebecca Eaton set the Masterpiece Classic series return for January 5. “Masterpiece fans will not be disappointed: Julian [Fellowes] has done another brilliant job,” Eaton told The Daily Beast. The fourth installment of the show will run for eight weeks—from January 5 to February 23.
