Dozens Dead in Midwest Tornadoes

Following powerful tornadoes that devastated Alabama and the southern U.S. last month, killing over 300 people, a new series of tornadoes ripped through the Midwest on Sunday, killing at least one person in Minneapolis, and an unknown number of people in Missouri. The operations director for the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency confirmed that fatalities have been reported from the tornado, but an exact number is not yet known, while other sources say that the St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Missouri took “a direct hit,” and sources say "many" were killed. In Minneapolis, one death was confirmed and 29 people injured, two critically, while in La Crosse, Wisconsin, the roofs were torn off homes and there was “significant” damage, according to the local sheriff.
