Dozens Die in Libyan Protests

Crackdown

At least 24 killed in challenge to Gaddafi.

Muammar Gaddafi doesn’t take kindly to dissent: Human Rights Watch says at least 24 people have been killed in Libyan anti-government protests since they broke out earlier this week. Demonstrations have broken out in five different cities, but not yet Libya’s capital, Tripoli. Thousands of people protested in Bengazi over night and demonstrators set up camps in al-Bayda. Funerals will be held on Friday, which could spark even larger protests.
