Former Illinois police officer Drew Peterson was sentenced to 40 years in prison on Friday for a murder-for-hire scheme targeting Will County State’s Attorney James Glasgow. Peterson was previously found guilty of murdering the third of his four wives. Foul play was also suspected in the disappearance of Peterson's fourth wife, garnering much media attention, although Peterson has never been formally charged.
