Police shot and killed a “drunk” Korean war veteran at his Connecticut mansion on Friday, according to state police on Sunday. The man killed has been identified as John Valluzzo, 75, who also founded the Military Museum of Southern Wales in 1995. Police said Valluzzo pointed a handgun at officers when they came to his house after a neighbor called police, saying that he was intoxicated and having an argument with his girlfriend. He reportedly was shot after refusing to obey orders from the officers. The museum called his death a “senseless tragedy.”
