Just when he thought he was safe. Ex-IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn is facing trial on charges of “aggravated pimping” for activities relating to orgies he attended in a French hotel in 2010 and 2011. French law describes pimping as aiding or encouraging prostitution, but prosecutors tacked on the more serious charge because there was more than one sex worker. Strauss-Kahn claims he didn’t know they were prostitutes. It sounds bad, but the most recent charges are a lot milder than the multiple allegations of assault and attempted rape the former French presidential hopeful has been accused of in the last few years.
