Some people have too much time, and too much money. Over 500,000 fireworks were used during the Dubai New Year’s Eve show in about six minutes, a new world-record according to Guinness. The previous record was held by Kuwait, which had an hour-long show with 77,282 fireworks. Most of the fireworks in Dubai took place at its famed Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. The show was designed by the U.S. company Fireworks by Grucci, and cost around $6 million.
