The jurors in Dylann Roof’s murder trial will include two black women, eight white women, one white man, and one black man. Jury selection began last week. Roof had requested to represent himself in court and forgo a lawyer, a move that was admonished by the judge but eventually approved. Authorities say Roof fatally shot and killed nine worshippers following a worship service at a historically black church in Charleston, South Carolina, last year. If convicted, Roof could face the death penalty.
