Actor Ed Helms mocked Donald Trump in a speech at a campaign event held by Kamala Harris’ running mate Tim Walz in Nevada on Tuesday. The former Daily Show correspondent told attendees at the rally in Reno that he’d learned a “lot of valuable lessons” from his roles in TV and film. “The Hangover, for example, taught me that waking up to chaos is never good,” Helms said. “And that’s something we all had to kind of get used to back around 2016 to 2020—do you remember that? Just chaos all the time, day after day, and I for one sure as hell don’t want to go back to that.” Helms also invoked his time on The Office, saying his character—Andy Bernard— once “punched a hole in the wall because his fragile little ego couldn’t handle making getting made fun of.” Without naming Trump specifically, Helms then tellingly added: “We don’t want leaders with fragile little egos.” Instead, he called for leaders who “heal our divisions, not worsen them—and that’s exactly what we have in Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.”
