Egyptian armed forces deployed troops to the city of Suez Saturday, after violence erupted there on the two-year anniversary of the Egyptian uprising that toppled Hosni Mubarak. Nine people are reportedly dead after hundreds of protesters clashed with police Friday, breaking into local government offices, and setting the Muslim Brotherhood’s main building ablaze. Police fired small bombs, firecrackers, and tear gas at the demonstrators in attempt to control the crowd. The protesters are calling for an end to newly elected President Mohamed Morsi’s term.
