Egypt’s Morsi Picks Cabinet

It’s government picking time! Egypt’s Islamist President Mohamed Morsi will swear in a new Cabinet Thursday, one week after naming a U.S. educated—but devoutly Muslim—prime minister. The president has promised to choose a diverse cabinet, as tensions in the nation are at a high after violence and water and electricity crisis. An early list of the cabinet only contained two members of the Muslim Brotherhood—though what really matters is the number of cabinet members that identify themselves as Islamists.
