Officials declared a campus emergency and ordered an evacuation at the University of California, Berkeley, after an explosion was reported Monday night. The cause was thought to be from an electrical vault, according to fire-department chief Gil Dong. Several injuries were reported, and many were stuck in elevators due to the loss of power. "Smells kinda like burnt rubber. Smoke is very visible," one person tweeted of the scene.
