First breastfeeding, then nude art, now decapitation? Facebook reinstated its ban on images of graphic violence after a video of a beheading surfaced, shortly after it had eased its restrictions on violent content. Facebook had loosened the policy in response to criticism of its ban on violence, only to find itself in hot water again when a video depicting the graphic decapitation of a woman in Mexico was posted on the site. Now, graphic violence is once again on the censored list. Facebook has existing policies banning pornography and hate speech, because, you know, sex and words are worse than somebody losing their head.
