Famed Burlesque Dancer Dies

The life of a celebrated burlesque dancer came to an untimely end when a party bus crashed into the car she was in over the weekend in San Francisco. Sarah Klein, 36, and her husband, Raul Padilla, had both consumed alcohol that evening, and Padilla, who remains in critical condition, was behind the wheel of the car. Toxicology tests must be conducted to determine if Padilla was over the limit, in which case he could face manslaughter charges. Klein, aka “Sparkly Devil,” started her career in burlesque 14 years ago—before the modern dance scene really took off—and was famed in the community for her racy, comic routine.
