The FBI is determined to poach the poisonous pen pals who’ve been sending ricin-laced letters to President Obama and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg. After arresting a man in Spokane, Washington, Thursday, investigators zeroed in on another person of interest in Texas who may also be responsible for some of the malicious mail. Several poison-tainted letters addressed to politicians have made their way to mail-screening facilities in the months since the Boston Marathon bombing, but the sources of the letters, and the motivation behind them, have remained relatively unknown. One of the letters addressed to Bloomberg, however, explicitly referenced the mayor’s gun control efforts.
