The Hawaii Emergency Management Agency employee responsible for a false missile alert is refusing to cooperate with the Federal Communications Commission, an official said Thursday in a Senate hearing. During the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation hearing, head of the FCC Public Safety and Homeland Security bureau Lisa Fowlkes additionally stated that while the state of Hawaii was cooperating, the individual was refusing to voluntarily cooperate. “We hope that person will reconsider,” she said.
