On Friday, the Food and Drug Administration approved an inhalable form of diabetes medication insulin. MannKind Corps.’s drug Afrezza is a fast-acting insulin for adults with type 2 diabetes, the most common form of the chronic condition. Afrezza is designed to be inhaled at the start of a meal or within 20 minutes of starting, and helps patients control their blood sugar levels.
