Libya isn’t the U.N.’s only African intervention: U.N. and French helicopters fired on weapons sites of Ivory Coast leader Laurent Gbagbo, who has refused to step down since losing election in November. Opposition forces have surrounded his presidential palace after fighters loyal to Alassane Ouattara, who won last year’s democratic election, entered the city of Abidjan five days ago. Ouattara’s ambassador says Gbagbo is now negotiating his surrender.
