NO COMPARISON

Rep. Jasmine Crocket tore into the “mediocre white boys” in the Trump administration for complaining about DEI policies, saying they wouldn’t be concerned if they were “competent.”

The Democrat blasted the “coddling” of white men Monday on CNN’s Laura Coates Live when asked about the decision to hire Darren Beattie at the State Department after he was fired from the first Trump administration for speaking at a white nationalist conference.

“He needs to go. I mean, this is very simple. We right now have a white supremacist that is sitting in the White House. He is backed up by other white supremacists,” Crockett said.

She continued, “the people that commit 80% of the most violent crimes in this country are white supremacists. Yet, for whatever reason, they sit and they serve at the pleasure of the president.”

Crockett appeared to be referencing 2022 data from the Anti-Defamation League that found 80% of extremist-related murders are committed by white supremacists, which comprise a tiny minority of all annual murders.

The Texas congresswoman also slammed Beattie for a post on X in October that said “competent white men must be in charge” and claimed the “entire national ideology is predicated on coddling the feelings of women and minorities, and demoralizing competent white men.”

“I am tired of the white tears. Listen, if you are competent, you are not concerned,” Crockett responded.

“I had to work 10 times as hard as they did just to get into the seat. When you look and you compare me to Marjorie Taylor Greene or me to Lauren Boebert, there is no comparison. And that is the life that we have always lived.”

“So, the only people that are crying are the mediocre white boys that have been beaten out by people that historically have had to work so much harder,” she continued.

Crockett said it’s that mentality that has spurred the new administration’s attacks on affirmative action and funding cuts for HBCUs.

“This is why they don’t want us to have education. This is why they are trying to literally say we won’t fund the HBCUs, because they know that if they’ve already gone after affirmative action and they’re saying, you know what, don’t allow them to come in to say these [predominantly white institutions], as we call them, don’t allow them to come into these institutions,” she said.

Beattie, who has made unproven claims about the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, is set to become acting undersecretary for public diplomacy and public affairs at the State Department, ABC News reported.
