Flashback: 1938 Superstorm Slams NYC

While some are calling Hurricane Sandy the worst natural disaster to hit the city in a century, the Great Hurricane of 1938 remains the most powerful, costliest and deadliest hurricane to hit the Northeast. The category 3 storm claimed 600 lives.
