Florida Face-Eating Suspect to Be Charged With Murder

The Florida State University sophomore who allegedly killed a couple and then ate one victim’s face will be hit with three criminal charges. Austin Harrouff, 19, was set to be charged Friday with first-degree murder, attempted murder, and burglary after the Monday incident in which he stormed off from a family dinner and ended up fatally stabbing John Joseph Stevens, 59, and his wife, Michelle Karen Mishcon, 53, before stabbing a neighbor who attempted to intervene. It reportedly took three to four police officers to pry Harrouff off Stevens’s body as he gnawed at the flesh on the victim’s face—neither a stun gun nor a K-9 unit were able to do the trick alone.
