The 96-year-old media group that publishes Forbes is up for sale, the company announced last week. “We expect interest from numerous suitors,” CEO Michael Perlis said in an email to staff. Insiders said they expect Forbes Media to sell for as much as $400 million So who would want in on an decidedly old-media company? Time Inc. is rumored to be among the potential buyers—especially as Forbes Media executives were seen at the headquarters of Time Inc. earlier this week. News of the sale comes just a week after The New York Times declared that Perlis, who came aboard in December 2012, had launched an “aggressive approach” that “saved the Forbes brand.”
