Former Treasury Chief to Opine on Financial Crisis

But Hank Paulson doesn’t want any money for it.

Adding to the list of ex-officio pols turning to literature, Henry Paulson, former Secretary of the Treasury, will release a book this fall. Paulson’s book will offer what purports to be the ultimate insider’s take on the economic crisis. “I didn't come to Washington thinking I was going to leave and write a book, but this period was so significant and there are so many insights and so many lessons learned that I think an understanding of this extraordinary period is important," Paulson said. And it seems like he’s already learned one lesson so far: don’t pocket any profits. Paulson's taking no advance, and will donate all royalties to the Homeownership Preservation Foundation, which helps families in danger of home foreclosure.
