The Fox News Republican presidential debate beat out frontrunner Donald Trump’s boycott event in TV viewership Thursday evening. According to early Nielsen data, Fox News’s event was watched by roughly 8.4 percent of homes with television sets, while Trump’s military veterans event only brought about a quarter of that audience combined on CNN and MSNBC. The debate, however, was the second-lowest-rated of the 2016 season, edging out only the Fox Business debate from two weeks ago.
