Fox 5 New York reporter Lidija Curanaj on Tuesday filed a lawsuit against her network’s parent company, 20th Century Fox, accusing former Fox News CEO Roger Ailes of sexually harassing her when she applied for a job at the cable network. According to the complaint, Ailes asked Curanaj during an interview to stand up and turn around so he could “see [her] from behind.” She claimed in the suit that Ailes then said “I like what I see.” The lawsuit further explained that Ailes met Curanaj through Gregory R. Ball, a state senator the reporter had dated. Following her interview with Ailes, the media mogul allegedly called Ball and asked him, “How’s the sex?” and whether she “put out.” After Ball called Curanaj a “very nice girl,” suggesting she would not be interested in providing sexual favors to Ailes, the Fox chief called the aspiring reporter to inform her that she was not ready for the big network. Ailes left the network in July after a series of allegations came out about him sexually harassing female employees on a serial basis. Former anchor Gretchen Carlson first exposed Ailes’s predatory behavior with a lawsuit alleging she was fired because she repeatedly refused sex with him. That suit was later settled for roughly $20 million.
