A fraternity at the University of Vermont has been suspended for circulating a survey asking members, "If you could rape someone, who would it be?" The disturbing question was oddly interspersed amongst more benign topics like "name," "major," and "favorite memories." The vice president for student and campus life said campus police are investigating whether there is a criminal aspect to the survey. Members of the fraternity declined to answer reporters, and a woman inside the fraternity house was allegedly overheard telling members, "Don't answer the door." The frat's national chapter issued a statement late Tuesday saying they were investigating the incident, adding that they had instructed the UVM chapter to "cease all operations" and that "behavior that demeans women is not tolerated by the Fraternity."
