A French soldier was stabbed in the neck in Paris on Saturday, and police are still searching for the attacker, who reportedly fled the scene. The soldier was in uniform when he was approached from behind by a man with a knife or a box-cutter. The soldier was taken to a local military hospital and is expected to survive despite losing considerable amounts of blood. According to the French newspaper Le Parisien, the attacker is believed to be a bearded man of North African origin around 30 years old.
