Okay, maybe the ‘90s really are having a moment. With that disco-ball veneer, Kate Bosworth’s strapless dress sort of resembled a tube top we wore to see the Backstreet Boys c. 1999. But this was straight off Stella McCartney’s Spring 2013 runway. And it was pretty incredible. On the red carpet for a SK-II Skincare launch event in Sydney (she’s the new face of the brand), Bos paired the liquid-gold dress with Giuseppe Zanotti sandals and a gold clutch.

The British actress looked flawless in this white Alessandra Rich dress and cape—even if appeared to be a direct copy of the Tom Ford dress Gwyneth Paltrow made famous at the Oscars last year.

Mrs. Ben Affleck appears to be in a constant state of cozy-oatmeal-sweater and boyfriend jeans, so when she cleans up, it's pretty exciting. At the premiere of Argo in D.C. this week, she wore a teal Roberto Cavalli dress with black-lace detailing around the neck. Well played.

Maybe it’s the fact that Helena Bonham Carter always seems to toe the line between elegance and train wreck that makes it such a joyous occasion when she wears something great. At the London premiere of Frankenweenie 3D on Wednesday, she put this black-and-white Marc Jacobs Resort 2011 dress—never mind the fact that we had seen her in it once before.

Meet Lara Bingle. According to her Wikipedia page, she’s an Australian model and socialite, most famous for her “Tourism Australia” advertising campaign. And while she looks like a villain from a Bond movie, her dress was pretty neat: a Louis Vuitton pre-fall 2012 emerald green embroidered number with a thin black belt. More questionable, however, were the open-toe booties and the furry collar. (Besides, isn’t it currently summer down under?)
