As France renews push for no-fly zone.

The Japanese earthquake couldn’t have occurred at a worse time for Libyan rebels: The world’s attention has turned elsewhere as Muammar Gaddafi tightens his grip on the country he once seemed sure to lose. Libyan state television reported Sunday that Gaddafi’s forces have regained control of the eastern town of Brega, one of the earliest cities to fall to rebel control, and military leaders pledged to retake the rebel capital of Benghazi. France has renewed calls for a no-fly zone, if it’s not already too late to make a difference. Anne-Marie Slaughter, meanwhile, debunks five arguments made against a no-fly zone.
