‘Game of Thrones’ Season 7’s First Photos Revealed

On Thursday afternoon, HBO released the first 15 images of Game of Thrones Season 7. The images don’t give too much away, as is the network’s wont, but do feature the characters in various new duds staring into the distance, including The Hound, Littlefinger and Sansa, Arya (in her original form), and Daenerys and Tyrion, joined by Grey Worm, Missandei, and Varys. There’s also the badass Lady Lyanna, the leader of House Mormont.

Precious little is known about Season 7, which will consist of just seven episodes and premiere on July 16, 2017, though showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss revealed at SXSW that pop star Ed Sheeran would receive a cameo (hopefully strumming “The Rains of Castamere”), while Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, aka Jaime Lannister, told The Daily Beast that his sister-love Cersei may have a new suitor this season, and that Jaime “has to step up and take his father’s place.”
