With the new designation, Riot Games will be able to recruit and award visas to international players of League of Legends, a role-playing and strategy game. Riot Games eSports manager Nick Allen celebrated the new distinction, "This was a lengthy process; we had a lot of people fighting for this." And while it may not be the Superbowl, this geek squad is growing. Their championship at the Staples Center in Los Angeles this year is expected to draw over 10,000 spectators.
