A 41-year-old Frenchman has been arrested for carring a firearm after the North Terminal at Gatwick Airport in London was evacuated due to a suspicious item. According to Sussex police, a man was arrested after he “discarded an item” while at the airport. “Given the events in Paris on Friday evening, there is heightened awareness around any such incident and it is best that we treat the matter in all seriousness,” the police said.
