Jean-Paul Gaultier has won AmFAR's Inspiration Award for his lifetime contribution to fashion and the fight against AIDS. The designer will receive the award at an event in New York on June 3, which will be hosted by Kylie Minogue. Several design houses, including Band of Outsiders, Thom Browne, Bottega Veneta, Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, and Yves Saint Laurent, will reportedly contribute to a runway show titled "Black Tie/ Black Leather," which will occur at the gala.
