Says it would impact U.S.’s competitiveness.

Need further proof that Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner is on the outs with the administration? According to Reuters, Geithner opposes President Obama’s plan to limit the size and activities of banks, saying that the rules will limit American firms’ global competitiveness and that the rules don’t get to the heart of the problem. The Washington Post says that Geithner prefers to require banks to hold more capital in reserves to cover losses.
