George R.R. Martin to Doubters: F-You

The author of the extremely popular and incomplete Game of Thrones series has some strong words for those who fear he will die before he finishes writing. “Fuck those people,” he told Swiss newspaper Tagesanzeiger. “I find that question pretty offensive, people speculating about my death and my health.” Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire is the inspiration for HBO’s Game of Thrones, the network’s most-watched series, so a lot of people care about Martin’s longevity. He admitted to Mashable that he “need[s] to write faster,” but also was non-committal. “I make no promises.”
