Andreas Lubitz, the Germanwings co-pilot accused of crashing a Madrid-to-Dusseldorf flight into a mountain, had practiced a controlled descent on the previous flight that day, according to a preliminary report published Wednesday. The Daily Beast previously explained that the crash must have been carefully pre-planned in order to circumvent a crash-avoidance system, and that Lubitz would’ve crashed that first flight if he had the opportunity.
